Ray and I became interested in vintage dressing in about May of 2015. We found out that there are groups who meet different times throughout the year and dress in vintage style. We love different clothing eras, so we thought this would be just what we’re interested in. So in October of 2016 we attended our first event, and we were hooked. We found a Florida group who adopted us and included us in all of their future events. We have been developing our own style for each event and love creating our clothing and collecting accessories to finish each look. Our looks vary from the late 1800’s to mid-century 1900’s and we love each one of them.

Learning at a young age.
I learned to love working with my hands and doing crafts at an early age. My grandmothers on both sides did needlework in various forms and both were good cooks. My mother taught me skills that she had learned throughout her life, and was always learning new crafts, cooking techniques and skills. So my interest in crafts and handwork was passed down to me by women in my family. I have learned through the years that working with your hands can be therapeutic and restful and sometimes nerve-wracking. It can also be used to produce gifts that in turn bless the recipients. I am never too old to learn a new skill or to perfect a technique in one of the crafts I already know, so that I can pass a blessing along to someone else. I pray that, as you look through these pages, you will find inspiration to use the gift you have received to produce something that will bless someone near you. You never know when God will call on you to be a special blessing to someone in a way you never expected.
